Susan Breen

AMERICAN PAINTER

Artist Susan Breen is a Connecticut-based painter, represented by Woodward Gallery, NYC for over two decades. Her work has been featured in Sony Legacy Recordings release, 15 Minutes, and exhibited at the Pollock-Krasner House & Study Center and the Andy Warhol Museum. Breen paints harmonious contemporary abstractions with hints of organic elements in various states of flux. Early works had a monochromatic, mystical quality. Breen’s more mature work adds bright color and some representational imagery to her ethereal palette.

Breen’s oil paintings have been exhibited by Woodward Gallery, NYC, at Down Town Association, NYC; Art Gallery at Rockefeller State Park Preserve, NY; Slate Valley Museum, NY; Trout Museum of Art, MI;  Islip Art Museum, NY;  Housatonic Museum of Art, CT;  Aljira Center for Contemporary Art, NJ;  ICM/ International Creative Management Agency, NY; Cahoon Museum of American Art, MA; and other fine art institutions.
